Description
Ruiva-dm6446-0812 is a compact, universal video analytics platform. Based on Texas Instruments DaVinci digital media system-on-chip, it is particularly well fit for intelligent video processing applications. The dual-core architecture of the DM6446 provides benefits of both DSP and Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) technologies, incorporating a high-performance TMS320C64x+? DSP core and an ARM926EJ-S core. This powerful combination makes the chip a great choice for high performance networked video applications (encoding and decoding, embedded video playback, recording, transcoding and analytics). EVM module Ruiva-dm6446-0812 enables developers to build start immediate evaluation of DaVinci™ processors and begin building digital video applications such as automotive infotainment, streaming media, video security systems and digital video products that have yet to be invented.
The EVM module Ruiva-dm6446-0812 allows developers to write production-ready application code for the ARM and provides access to the DSP core using DaVinci APIs to begin immediate application development for the TMS320DM6446 digital media processors.
The EVM includes TI’s eXpressDSP DM664x Linux DVSDK. The eXpressDSP Digital Video Software Development Kit allows DaVinci system integrators to incorporate discrete software modules and combine them into a single executable output for systems, avoiding months of tedious manual integration. By making it easy to create custom bundles of codecs for specific applications, the configuration kit makes it simple to reuse code.
